AJG Venture Group is a private investment firm founded by AJ Gunasena. Las Vegas is our hub — but our mandate has no city limits. We back startups, operating businesses, and select real estate and media opportunities wherever the right team and the right economics come together.
The hub, not the boundary
Being headquartered in Nevada comes with real advantages — no state income tax, business-friendly regulation, and one of the strongest growth markets in the country. We treat that base the way an investor should: as a cost and speed advantage, not a constraint. Deal flow, diligence, and capital all travel.
Most of our portfolio activity reaches well beyond any one city. From software and AI to fintech and biotechnology, we evaluate opportunities on fundamentals — team, traction, economics, and exit — not geography.

We invest our own capital in startups, small businesses, software, AI, fintech, biotechnology, and select real estate and media opportunities — see our full investment focus. Locally, our roots run deep: our founder also operates FlipWithAJ Real Estate Group, a private hard money lender financing Las Vegas and Henderson investment properties, and Real Vegas Magazine, a media brand covering the city itself.
